Maybe owed to you if they have awarded you more.

I'm sure you will receive notification soon. They must have awarded you one or both parts.

Good luck

You can claim if you are working, it's not means tested

I work part-time

I found it difficult to work full-time so dropped to reduced hours a year ago

Happens frequently . The letter usually follows a couple of days layer

That is a bit strange as from my own experience and what I've heard from friends they usually pay you later than you would normally have received your DLA payment if you were receiving that prior to switching to PIP, I should of received my DLA payment on the 25th of may but they stopped my DLA from 17 th as they said they have to start your pip instalments 14 days after they send your award and so I didn't get my 1st payment from pip until the 8 th of June 3 wks after they stopped my DLA payments, so it is bizarre why you have been paid before you received your award unless you were already receiving pip and just renewing your claim xx

No. My first ever payment and thus was also backdated, was in my account before I Reveived the letter telling me what I'd been paid

Do you know that you have got the pip if so check your bank account to see if the back pay into your account. If you have got it it will be back dated from the time you applied.xxxxx

It comes as DWP pip on your bank account

That happened to me too

A letter came 3-4 days later. What was paid was back payment as from the time you applied for pip

It's good news, it means you've made the transition from DLA to PIP, as long as it specifies that it's for PIP & not DLA. If it says it's DLA that's not so good news but I presume it is so... the amount you've received into your bank account is backdated payment, awarded from the first date of contact (the date you requested your PIP application form). They're just late in sending you the official award letter, it happens.

I do hope so couldn't lose my car 🚗 😭🙏🏻🤦🏻‍♀️xx

Now boring me would have been putting money aside if I feared not being awarded enhanced & losing my car. Plus if you are awarded it & depending what you budgeted for it might have been a nice amount to have a little holiday. That's me though, I save for all eventualities!

If you give them a ring they'll tell you over the 'phone what you've been awarded, now that a payment has been made. Same thing happened to me.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I'd be grateful to know how one qualifies for this PIP & what it is anyway. I am in my 71st year, receive housing benefit, work 91/2hrs weekly with council's permission & still pay some tax, am applying by their suggestion for reduction of council tax, though it hasn't worked before.

Sorry, forgot to say I have small occupational as well as state pension.

Award letters or any letters for that matter, going missing, is not a first and I should know. Letters from Belfast take a minimum of 2 weeks from the date issued before you get them.

It is inconsiderate though, if you don't know what you are getting paid for and then they suddenly want it back, but only to be expected in the end, calling them incompetent is a compliment.

Not what you're looking for?
