Yes I'm afraid so. If you choose to you'd have to apply for a Change in Circumstances. When you received notification of your award following on from the explanation of how the decision was reached (page 4 of 7 of mine) there's a sentence headed What happens if your condition or circumstances change. The explanation of what they need to know etc continues on to page 5. You can either write to the DWP or call the number on page 1 of the paperwork to inform them you wish to apply for it.

I considered doing this when I had further evidence of the deterioration in my feet (missing from the original medical info included with my application form) & I also received a copy of the report which included discrepancies, but decided against it. I only have approx 6 months before I'll be called for reassessment as my award runs til December 2018 so this had some bearing on my decision.

Good luck if you choose to go ahead.

You're welcome. I omitted to say as you're aware DLA & PIP are quite different benefits. One may supersede the other but there are differences in the Moving Around section, as you know it's now more stringent.

I would use the time waiting for the form from the DWP to gather any new written evidence from the medical professionals who you've seen regarding the changes to your feet & walking to support your claim for C in C. I don't know if you're aware but it will result in a new claim form being issued, it's not just information about the changes the DWP need so there is a risk your existing award may change for the negative.

Not what you're looking for?
