Mine took a while to come through, before I got a form I was in touch with the DWP welfare rights, when they call round to my home, he brought the forms with him and he filled them in, a few weeks later a woman from ATOS , I have Dementia and she even tried to question me about it, sort memory games didn't get her anywhere lol, a few weeks later my award came through, and I could relax again.

I hope you receive what you need and want.

It's a nightmare and terrifying too, I was stressing so much over mine, I hope things go well for you.

And if labour get back in this cruelty should stop, old lady May will only make things worse.

Oh no Philip, that's not true. You'll still undergo assessments as before under labour. Corbyn says he'll pay for everything! Huh, where's he getting the money from? He's weak and has no idea of financing. Don't be so easily fooled.

I don't trust Tory, unless you have a lot of money , they really don't care about the sick and disabled and they have proved that by taking away thier DLA/PIP, BECAUSE the DWP have been instructed they want An 80% percent reduction in awards, unless your wealthy enough to have private medical care, there won't be anything for people like me who is long term sick and the past seven years have been hell for me and others in same boat.

The NHS is dying, being murdered by the Tory party and if they get back in they will take more and more off the weakest in our society.

They want to return us back to the 1920/30s when ordinary people were living in the gutters. So I cannot trust them or vote for them.

If Corbin gets in then disability payments will be the least of your worries!

Well ok at it this way, if the Tory party get back in, there will be even more suicides, more deaths because they are disabled and the benefits will go down again, the NHS will die and people would have to pay for prescriptions that they can't afford, children will starve even more so, the food banks will run dry, people in zero hour contracts, more services will close, in my neck of the woods we have lost all but one library and the elderly have serious problems going in to the town to the library, you may even get a chance to see some of your neighbours slowly die away, the Labour is the only party to look after the genuine sick and disabled, and even your/our own family and friends dieting of be cause they can't afford to eat, I think we should all think about others rather than ones self.

You obviously need to listen to the labour plans and it says all those who loose thier £30 a week because this government has taken it away also they have stripped away any chance of fighting decisions in court, I care for my fellow humans, Tory don't give a damn. If any one votes Tory then when they see the NHS die they will only have themselves to blame.

I have a copy of the questions they ask, in no particular order, they try being clever asking them a different way which changes the meaning and therefore the answer. :)

I am sorry to hear you have dementia, my memory, long term is terrible and it has impacted my spelling badly, I have to keep looking in a dictionary.

I do however keep a little glass jar on my coffee table full of the marbles I have mislaid to remind me that there are still some left. :)

Same happened to me - 4 weeks after I sent the forms in I received a txt - then after text another 3 weeks later I received a letter asking me to attend a face to face assessment which is this Wednesday. My daughter said "the longer it has taken the whole process the more likely it will be ok" Im not really that worried as I can only tell the truth to demonstrate how bad I am & how my life has been affected. Fingers crossed (sore fi gers that is).

They said it could take 6-8 weeks for me to get answers but will post result as soon as I know.

Hi. I'm going through the same process. The text they send is standard. It took around 4-6 weeks after they received the form for Capita (assessor for Wales) to write to me saying they had been passed the info from DWP and they would be in touch with an assessment date. The letter with the date only took a few days after the original letter and I went for the assessment last week. It's such a long process and the time it takes is draining on my system, but I am sticking with it. Please try not to worry - I think most people are being assessed. I took copies of my form with me and my husband also came into the room with me. I hope you get what you need and deserve 🤞😊

It is disgusting isn't it??? I hate going for those assements as they make u feel like the lowest of the low my original pip runs out in may next year so I can't understand why they are sending forms out now ??? When it's still nearly a year away 😟anyway good luck to anybody who's going through this process xx

So many people are just lazy and lie that they are disabled when they could easily work ( got a few where I live.....can't work but can run round a football pitch???) that I think it's a good thing we are assessed, you can only tell the truth and let's be honest one look at our gnarled body parts and they can see for themselves!

I completely agree. It's such a difficult situation ging for the assessment because even though visibility they could see what my issues are, it's still very difficult discussing such private and personal things with a complete stranger who shows no sign of emotion. I know they are meant to be neutral but it's not a pleasant experience. I think the people who have mental illnesses must really find it difficult - I just hope that all genuine people get what they deserve 🤞

And because we are all so used to replying'im fine' when we get asked how we are! I also forget that when at these assessments you should answer their questions as to what you can do / struggle with on your worst day. I can either run about like a spring chicken or be struggling to get out of bed! No two days are the same as you know !

When Labour gets the key to no/10 a lot people will breathe a sigh of relief, the BEDROOM tax will go, almost straight away, if your wealthy and you have worked your money brilliant but if you are unable to work the Tories keep taking every last penny of you, I used to work and very hard too, every day and sometimes into the night as well,I started to get ill and since then my health has gone down every day I feel no good. The thing with me is I'm a very positive person but I now have Dementia at an early stage, to top it all the Tories want to tax me too. Do you believe people can fund their own health, Labour brought the NHS to life and the Tories want it dead. Any way nighty night, love you all.
