Well i had a lovely week away up north even though i was in a lot of pain with my back. It make a lovely time hard work.
Now to yesterday. I was pottering in the garden trying to tidy up and make space on my patio. Well i was replanting a plant and i managed to knock a plant over that was sitting on two breeze blocks and one of them went straight onto my foot and toes. I now have two very sore and bruised possible broken toes. and then to add insult to injury i scrapped my arm and as i have fragile skin it looks a right mess like a bruise, but not a bruise if you know what i mean.
This morning i am in agony,i can hardly walk what with my toes and back. I think i have inflamed an already rough problem. So i will be at the drs after i have been to the dentist.xxxxx

Sorry to hear you had an accident with plant pot. ( hope you could save the plant that was in it) How did you get on, i dont think they do any thing for broken toes. I broke my big toe and it just healed. You know the saying never rains but it pours. XX sending you hugs and best wishes.
Try putting a sliver of cardboard between your 2 damaged toes then plaster them together....that will save them healing wonky if you make sure they are straight as you can get them,
I did that when I dropped a heavy chest on my foot....then the next day did a 14 hour shift on my feet all day
When I eventually told my doc he said that was exactly what he would have done!If they swell out of all proportion though, do see the doc.
Now can you please try not to do anything else that might threaten your surgery later this year?
I have been to the drs and the advice was given just like you said AgedCrone. Where i get my nail done is a wonderful lady who does feet, well she has given me a load of tape to do my toes with.xxxxx
Why not start a fight with a person instead of a garden ? lol. If it helps last year I dislocated and broke 2 toes went to A&E offered pain relief "no it does'nt hurt " said this brave person, "What" said the triage nurse, looking again she said ' Oh I see you've had Nuroma's removed so no nerves in the toes". Then grabbed the dislocated toe and put it back and straightened up the broken ones and strapped them up.
All this happened after walking into a door looking not where I was going but behind me as I thought I'd tucked my skirt in my knickers !!! xxxx
Lesson learned wear trousers or jeans at all times......
Oh sylvi , you poor thing ☹️. Ive broken toes in the past and it is painful . Have you a nice comfy pair of sandals so you dont put pressure on the toes ? Look after yourself and no more lifting xxx
Yes i do have a nice pair of comfy sandals darling. It was putting a plant in the garden when i knocked the plant pot over and the breeze blocks it was sitting on went over with it. I am resting i son't think hubby is going to let me do much else.xxx
As if you needed that! Why do things happen like this when we've already enough pain to cope with, you're a walking disaster area! Take it easy, put your feet up & please try to keep out of trouble. x 😘
Oh no!! You were attacked by a plant....maybe you should just concede our dahlia competition. Those dinner plate dahlias could seriously harm you.
Sylvia..... please, sit down and rest! I understand that's not in your nature but you've had a hell of a time lately and I know you have your op soon. Sending you healing wishes.
Hi Sylvi, you are in the wars, I do feel for you. Hopefully you will feel better soon.
I have 2 compression fractures in my back and 4 weeks ago my left leg lost the argument with the rubbish bin under my kitchen sink. My skin is so thin now due to taking steroids on/off for over 2 years. I have to have an antibiotic dressing changed on the wound about every 3 days. The doctor at the hospital had to put sterile white stripes to close the wound. Boy was that painful. My GP here said to put polisporin on to help the healing and bleeding, it lifted the sterile strips and since she changes the antibiotic dressing twice a week. It looks like it is going to take a long time to heal. The thing I am most upset about is that I had to cancel my aqua fit program I was so looking forward to.
I hope you haven't broken your toes as they can take a long time to heal. My sister has a habit of breaking her toes.
Take care Sylvi and keep in touch and let me know how you are.
I haven't broken my toes, but my god it feels like it they are so sore.Sorry your suffering i so feel for you as i know how you feel as i too have tissue skin.xxxx
Hope your toes are healing Sylvi. I was attacked by the shower yesterday am and think I have broke one of mine. Strangely enough not banged my elbow but the skin is lifting. Where I had a nodule. I must be copying you. Oh and I have 2 bulging discs plus osteoarthritis. How freaky is that !
