I'm having a back tooth extracted tomorrow because of loosening caused by chronic low grade infection but I had a zolendronic acid infusion 2 years ago and have heard that might cause problems with healing and may lead to osteonecrosis of the jaw 😳..all a bit worrying...anyone been in this position?

No, but I had a tooth extraction a couple of weeks ago. I really didn't feel any pain after the injections, so please don't worry about that part of it.

I had a mild infection in the site, but couldn't have antibiotics, so spent an uncomfortable ten days with my compromised immune system battling the infection and healing the gum.

As always, I did everything I was told - rest then swilling with salt water etc and all is now fine.

Good luck - it will be fine x
