Hi. I'm sorry to hear that your having such difficulty with your mobility . I bought a light wheelchair for my mum at Christmas from Lloyds pharmacy ( online) , costing 65.00 plus delivery. There are also many disability shops where chairs and aids can be purchased- online and in high streets.

Hope this helps and all the best for the future.

There are lots of wheelchairs around, some are lightweight but you may find it costs extra. I would recommend that you visit a mobility shop and try some out. eBay also will have wheelchairs that are no longer used and therefore, you don't pay as much.

Try the Red Cross. We had one off them for my dad. The branch we had ours from came out to see what we wanted & helped us with quite a few things.

I got this wheelchair goo.gl/h3s6Hy which weighs 7kgs, this can be made even lighter for putting into your car but removing the wheels. I'm very pleased with it, I got £5 off the price by signing up to there newsletter first.

It has solid tyres, folding handles and the armrests can be adjusted.

Hope this helps.

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling walking. I wonder, do you have a disability/mobility shop near you? We have a few in neighbouring towns & I've been know to test things out at them even if I don't buy from them. I think recommendations are harder from something like this, it's far better to see, try sitting in & feel the weights of different wheelchairs. You need to try lifting different ones too if you're to lift it on your own any time.
