Laying here hoping if I'm still, I'll be able to just drift off- well it's not happening! Admitting defeat and now going to start the ironing !!
Moaned enough yesterday - so just putting it out there

Morning suzannedale
I'm hoping you've had some sleep tonight?!
It's the early evening here as we just finished dinner. I do hope I don't have problems sleeping tonight. My mind is racing though.
What's bothering you? It must be past midnight in the UK.
It is 3.30am here in the Uk darling.xxxx
what are you doing awake Sylvi?
Nothing is bothering me? I'm Certainly in. I more pain than usual. Just the way it has been for a good year and half. I did have a go at sleeping tablets ( three months) but they were doing nothing for me.
Still, fair getting through this ironing though!
You are not alone i have been down here since 1am,i have tried to sleep without much success.xxxxx
Oh Hun - that's what we are here for!! Moan away!!!! No sleep is like torture ... poor u xx
No sleep is self torture indeed. It took me quite a while, but thankfully I now manage to meditate my way back to sleep and stop my mind from being creative in the middle of the night. I know it doesn't work for everybody. I hope you find a way to get some well deserved slumber.
Me too. cleaning the kitchen at 3.30am (with one hand, other hurting). did go back to sleep at 6.30 for an hour- I'm so glad I'm retired - how do you young ones with work and/or young kids cope? Lost in admiration.....
You have my sympathy!!! I writhed all night in my sleep and am sore and exhausted. Waiting for the plumber to sort the hot water and then I'll have a lovely long, hot bath. Usually does the trick.
Me too, not much sleep struggling with sciatica and muscle spasms. Torture trying to get downstairs. X
If you are prescribed painkillers, I find taking codeine in the evening helps with sleep, as does Amitriptyline, but even the lowest dose of that makes me sleep for days, so I prefer codeine only.
Thanks Boneyc
I've had amitriptyline before. It unfortunately , it didn't toning for me. I do take tramadol and they do take the edge off the pain but do I thing for me in terms of sleep? I've also had various sleeping tablets that helped initially then stoped.
I don't know now whether I e just developed a bad sleeping pattern/ habit over time so I'm trying to address this through routine etc.
Thanks so much for your input .
Marie
