I take hydroxylchoroquine (I think that's how you spell it) twice a day.

Yes definitely. My RA is uncontrolled at the moment as I've been allergic to all the treatment so far. The flu like symptoms and aching and tiredness are the worst things. I don't have any stiffness particularly it's more like bad flu

Have you had your blood checked lately that was happening to me and I found out I have a blood disorder

Unfortunately yes i have had those terrible heavy flu like symptoms and right now im going through a serious dose of the sweats. But my reactions are usually a mix of RA and med reactions and its often difficult to know where one starts and the other finishes. Sorry your having to deal with this. Blessings.

I am mid flare at the moment and feel exactly as though I have flu, with far worse pain in wrists. Hope it calms down soon for you and that you find some meds to keep it under control. Best of luck.

It sounds like the fatigue of RD that we talk about here I'm afraid. Most sites will mention feeling flu-like under common symptoms, this is from the Making a diagnosis on the NRAS site "Fatigue; most people have little energy, feel ill and often describe flu-like symptoms." It sounds that your latest flare has knocked the stuffing out of you, it's quite horrible. If you're flaring & feeling so awful it's usually a good indicator that you're not as well enough controlled as you could be. How have your bloods been recently? Definitely mention your fatigue at your next Rheumy or nurse appointment.

If it goes on a while do make sure you don't actually have flu. You had your flu jab last year didn't you?

Flu feeling, please go to the doctor. Every time I went to the doctors I would be told it was my RA. My PCP listened to what I had to say and she did blood work, She had checked all past blood work. She sent me to a hematologist my blood work was so high. They thought I might have had blood cancer. We have not got back all the blood test on this. I saw the doctor Jan 5th, Had blood work, chest x-ray and a mammogram, that was on the 11th, On the 12th I had a cat scan. I got a call about the mammogram and have an ultra sound plan for tuesday. I got a call yesterday and they found a 8 cm mass on my lower lobe of my left lung. I was very cold, my body ached my back hurt and I was so tired it wasn't funny. Please get yourself checked. This is a night mare I wouldn't wish on anyone.
