Pain in the neck

Hi all. Not been on here for a long time. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis a few years ago it apart from a few flares I was able to carry on working full-time on checkouts in a supermarket being dosed up on cocodemol & naproxen.

In June this year I started with problems in my left arm. Was treated for golfers & tennis elbow, had 6 round of physo with no improvement . Then started with pins & needles. Back to the physo who tried massage. Had 5 goes at that then had a change of physo who would not touch me & wrote to my GP to have a MRI scan.

Woke up on friday morning with a dead arm & pins & needles that would not go away Managed to get to the doctors for results & it has found I have cervical spine disc disease & neuralgia.

I've been signed off work for 2 weeks told to rest & prescribed Gabapentin 100mg three times a day.

I'm not in as much pain now until I do anything like wash dishes, make the bed, wash my hair or anything that involves stretching.

Would love to hear from anyone in the same thing & how you manage.

Thank you. Just getting fed up with not sleeping & pain all the time. The tabs work a bit but soon wear off. Went out yesterday but ended up coming back as felt sick with the pain. Going back to the doctors next week so will just have to see. Got to get back to work though as I live on my own.
