Please find details of the NRAS Group meetings taking place next week:

NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 31st October 2016

Bolton NRAS Group

This NRAS group is coordinated by NRAS Members with the help and support of Senior Sister Beverley Travers. 2016 meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month (February - December) at Bolton One, Moor Road, Bolton, BL3 5BN from 2.00pm-4.00pm.

1st November - Guest speaker Angela Estwick from Bolton One Occupational Therapy team will bring and demonstrate aids to help RA patients

Chesterfield NRAS Group

2016 group meetings will be held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

1st November - Guest speaker: Registered Nutritional Therapist Samantha Farmer, DipION, mBANT, CNHC from Eaternal Health.

Hertfordshire NRAS Group

Quarterly meetings are held at Welwyn Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Welwyn AL6 9ER on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

1st November - 'Who cares? An introduction to the campaign work of NRAS to improve RA care' presented by Conn O'Neill Policy & Public Affairs Officer for NRAS followed by a session by Jacky Bryant of JBE Learning who will

demonstrate her method of non-invasive pain relief. Dr Kathleen Mulligan, City University London, will also talk briefly on a proposed research project on fatigue followed by a discussion with people who have been affected by fatigue and how their experience could shape the project.

Gloucester NRAS Group

This group meets in the Function Room at Oxstalls Tennis Centre, Plock Court, Gloucester, GL2 9DW (plenty of free parking on site) on the first Wednesday of every other month (March-November) from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

2nd November - 'Update on treatment options available for people with RA' by Dr. Gill Coombes, Consultant Rheumatologist

Mid Cornwall NRAS Group

The Mid Cornwall NRAS group - PIRATES (people involved in RA training, education and support) meet at Carnon Downs Village Hall, Tregye Road, Carnon Downs, Truro TR3 6JQ.

2nd November - Quiz Night! Taking place at Carnon Downs Village Hall from 7:00pm-9:30pm. There will be a general knowledge quiz, table quiz, music rounds and much more! A great night out with lots of fun to be had. Bring a team of up to 6 people or come along and make new friends. £5 per person will include entry and a light supper with all proceeds going to the Mid Cornwall (PIRATES) NRAS Group. For tickets please email pirates@cspgs.co.uk.

Warwickshire NRAS Group

The Warwickshire NRAS Group will hold all future meetings at Friends Meeting House, 28 Regent Place, Rugby, CV21 2PN (free on-road parking after 6pm) from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are

organised and run by local NRAS volunteers Kate, Shona and Fran.

2nd November - Guest speaker: OT Gnaeri Hodkinson will present - 'Occupational Therapy - what is our role in Rheumatology?'

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
