Red steroid injection

Has anyone ever had a red steroid injection ? I've to get one in my knee next Monday .

Never heard of that and have had many steroid injections into my knees over the years. Might it refer to the strength of steroid in that the steroid capsule/bottle is red topped? ? Farm

Yes you could be right . Doc said it would last longer . Have to stay in hospital for 6 hours . Will ask more about it when I go next Monday .

Depo Medrol, or methylprednisolone (corticosteroid injection) is often shortened to Med, if you've misheard?

I don't know but it might mean that the injection area becomes red after it.
