Hand
You'll be fine as you won't feel a thing,if you have an ipod use that so you won't see or hear whats going on. Good luck and like i have said you'll be fine.xxxx
dont be scared u will be alright most women races of motorbikes have this done so they dont get what the call pump up in their arms and they dont have a problem in the first place so if they can do this u will be just fine
Good luck , I had my had op two month ago . The nurse kept talking to e and I couldn't see what they were doing , it was ok tho xx
I think I've mentioned this before but if it's done the same way mine was it was in theatre & they put up like a screen or sheet between you & your arm so you can't see anything & of course it's under local anaesthetic so you don't feel anything. It's not long at all, I was watching the clock & it was about 20 mins or thereabouts. Afterwards you should be either prescribed pain relief or they'll recommend what to take post op (mine was done in Spain so I'm not sure if it's the same here but others will know). Think of my poor h who has to have his chest opened up yet again! Bet he'd gladly swap with you lol.
You'll be fine Denise, just turn it around & think that you'll have no more pain once it's healed. x
Hi Deejojo,
I had my CTR done and it was fine. The worst part is the cuff that goes at the top of your arm, it's very tight. The whole opens around 20 mins. Normal pain relief is Cocodamol. My surgeon asked if I wanted to look and being the way I am couldn't wait to look, I practically sat up right to look in! He showed me all the parts of my hand etc. Very cool! I was in for surgery at 10am and was sat back at home by 1230.
Thank you very much everyone xx
