I am in Hereford so probably could get to Gloucester group but I am new to this Ra rubbish and haven't really thought so far about groups etc.

Same county as me. When I first joined someone from NRAS said that Gloucester was close to me but at the time there was no way I could have got there but now things have improved I do wonder whether I should make the effort. Some of the topics covered by groups look very interesting. Farm

I have only recently diagnosed so it may be helpful to me , I am still in a bit of denial that I have RA so perhaps I may help me accept it !

I did go along to one when I was newly diagnosed last year. The group were friendly and the talk informative. My main reason for going was to make connections with people in a similar situation to me in terms of age (45), young family and demanding work role, to get hints and tips on how it can be done. To show me everything really will be ok for someone like me, who has no choice but to carry on carrying on! However, at the meeting I went to, most of the people there were much older, grown children, etc. and I haven't been back since. But, as I say, they were nice people and it depends what you're hoping to get from it. :-)

Just search nras Gloucester on Facebook. Next meeting is 2/3/16 at oxstals tennis centre 7-9 , the talk is on diets for auto immune diseases. I was thinkong of going as the talk looks intresting. I did find that most of the group were older than me and I did find the speaker on laughter yoga at my last meeting wasn't very useful.

I am 49, just had to stop work due to constant flares and problems with biologicals. But hoping to get back once everything is under control again. Would be interesting to have others in the same sort of position at the meeting.
