They are great for removing toxins, clearing mucus and leave your skin lovely and clear.
Don't forget that dairy products form mucus in the linings of the body so you should always cut down on those if you are really suffering.
Essential oils in your bath or a bowl are great too.
If you have a lot of mucus you might want to look at cistus incanus tea. It removes bio films from the body. Bio films are bad because bacteria and nasties build up and form colonies and plaques on them. It has been said that biofilms are a major contributing factor in all disease!
It is super cheap, easy to do, effective, natural and can be delivered through your post box with one click on ebay.
Vigorous exercise is amazing too! Cycling is my fave.
I had an appointment at the hospital, well i thought i had anyway it was re-scheduled and i knew nothing about it,so was not best pleased as i could have stayed home in the warm. I have lost some more weight though.
Like you needed a wasted visit. I hope the antibiotics & steroids do the trick & you'll be ok for Christmas. Very sparkly & welcoming hallway. I bought our door wreath this morning & a few bits & bobs but they'll sit there for another couple of weeks yet! x
I've just finished a three month course of steroids and I didn't put on any weight, I didn't lose any wether which has been disappointing as I went GF at the time I started the steroids and gave up chocolate and snacks. With the amount of things I'm *not* earth I ought to be sylph like by now.
In the middle of the steroid course I was put a course of antibiotics for a UTI - Trimethoprim - I felt seriously ill on it, really nauseous and only ate enough to be able to take my pills on a full stomach, I lost five or six pounds which unfortunately went back on when I stopped the antibiotics - so with a bit of luck you'll be fine too.
Fingers crossed everything works and you're feeling tip top by Christmas,
((( hugs to you too)))
PS - I swear by smothering my chest in Vicks vapour rub then going under the duvet. Fixes headaches, blocked up heads and clears your chest - all in one.
Hiya, health comes first so take the prescribed medication as you are under the weather and need to sort this chest infection. That is not surprising after surgery really.
Remember the weight loss is a part of your life now and infections will come and go , so yes over the next few years you will need steroids etc.
Steroids technically don't make you gain weight! They just make you have a greater appetite apparently. So eat as suggested by your gastric surgeon and rest and drink plenty of water to help the chest. Hope you feel better soon darling. Axx
I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well! I used to get several chest infections a year and each time seemed to take forever before I felt better, and the cough lasted much longer than the infection. I hope your meds take hold quickly and you feel better very soon! Hugs!
