Hi Deejojo,

Not too long to wait. So pleased to hear that you have a good consultant, it does make all the difference when you have confidence in them. Good luck and hope all goes well. Look forward to hearing your update. Smiler x

I'm due on 5th and will try to post. I'm glad you're confident in you Dr, my surgeon seems to be v good too. My husband had hip replacement in the same unit and he's done v well.

I'm trying to be positive and keep thinking that hopefully in time, things will be easier. I can't go out on my own, getting anywhere in a hurry is impossible. So I hope it'll be a good move, and that everyone waiting for their op will be feeling much better by Christmas- that's my first goal.

Hi cathie,

my knee op is tomorrow, I'm the same can't do anything in a hurry and

in pain all the time now.

I've booked a hair appointment for the 31 October and I'm determined to get there, my neighbour was walking with crutches over the local park after 10 days !!

Thanks, it's the first of two tkrs. It's v helpful to have confidence in the surgeon. Just wish it had happened earlier in the year as getting out to walk might be tricky if we have the winter they're promising. I see a great physio and she's suggested I hire a treadmill for a couple of months if it's hard to get out. I live in Edinburgh and want to be prepared, the first two winters we were here there were snowploughs on the street!
