Here is the winner or Best in show yesterday. She is called Lola and is a rescue dog from Romania.

We raised 612.30 in the end for the Children's Hospital. I have asked for it to go towards the new 3D MRI Scanner.

Everyone had a good day and joined in the fun. Grown men doing the egg and spoon race with their dogs.

Well done, Lola. I don't know if she had to run an agility course, or just look beautiful. Either way, she's a winner. I would have got a booby prize on both counts! x Jo

It was all fun things that any dog can do. Lola won the Verteran class and laid on the grass. Not sure how many other classes she entered.It was a busy day and I lost track of who entered what. I handed out Rosettes and prizes but was struggling to keep up.

The stunning Lola, rescues are just so, so special........save a life, rescue a pet. The image in my head of grown men with wobbly bellies running an egg and spoon with their dogs......it will keep me going for the rest of the day for sure, thanks. XX

It was fun. The sausage race was a laugh too. Grown men running round looking for sausages in the grass. I told them the dogs would sniff them out.

Brilliant, I think I'll pass on some of your events to my own rescue centre Rainbow for them to use in our annual "Pooches in the Park'....sound like a complete day of giggles, wonderful. And of course a huge amount of money raised too, well done to all.

I do egg and spoon sausage race best biscuit catcher children's pet best trick handsome dog pretty bitch veteran puppy and I did crossbreed but no one entered. I have 5 rosettes to give out so at the end I said seeing as it was a warm day we would do best 6 legs and told all the men to roll up their trousers grab a dog throw a pound in the bucket and enter. Think we got about 15 entered. It was a warm day too so that helped. Hope your dog rescue does well.

Awww, thanks for posting the pic moomie. How lovely it was a rescue dog that won too. Well done for raising so much...target for next year, double again???

Would loved to have seen the egg & spoon race. If our Annie was there there'd have been no eggs to race with, she loves her eggy weg! She's a rescue dog as well. x
