Got up at 5am this morning because my throat is very sore. So i came down and had some medicine to ease it and i thought i would put the tv on and come on here and see what your all doing.

Put the news on as ther's nothing much else on at this time of day. Then i heard that at 48yrs od Whitney houston has died. No details about cause of death. At least this disease won't kill us and we are lucky in the fact that most of us have a loving family who suppoert us in this ride with ra. All the money in the world doesn't make you well or happy,we can wish though.

I have no pics to uplaod yet as when my laptop crashed i lost all my photos,so i will get my bum in gear and take some more and upload them.

Hi Sylvi it is such a shame Whitney has left us. I'm watching channel 4music at the moment - they seem to have her on for best part of the day.

Hi Sylvi, heard this morning on the radio that Whitney Houston had died., Such a waste - she had a lovely voice. It seems that she was found collapsed in her room at the Beverley Hills Hotel - possibly a drug overdose as she had battled drugs and alcohol addiction for years.

Unfortunately, whilst RA itself is not a killer, it can cause problems with heart and lungs which ultimately could kill. Which is why our medics are so careful of us and doing regular checks on chest, heart, bloods etc.

Hope you feel better soon. I find sucking an ice cube helps with a sore throat rather than hot drinks. It numbs the throat and takes any swelling down.

I am sitting here reading your blogs and the sweat is pouring of me. That is because i have come off hrt. I feel like i am being boiled alive. Its no joke,but i can see how funny it can be.

My cold/virus is still making me feel pretty awful. I like eating calipos when i can get them they are good on the old throat. I don't know what i can take for this thing as i don't know what effect they will have on me due to the drugs and having blood pressure. So i haven't had anything to get rid of it. Will ask down the hospital tomorrow.

Sylvi cannot believe that you are suffering from yet another infection. Poor Whitney, as you say isn't it awful that no wealth in the world can make some people overcome their demons.

Just got back from ot down at the hospital. She doesn't know what she can give me to ease my fingers as most of the stuff is rigid on the fingers and i need something that will support them rather than be rigid.

Cherry lucozade goes down well at the moment. Only trouble is the calories. I am at the doctors tomorrow to see if the gp can get me another bone x-ray on my knees and she might just give me something for this cold.

No i didn't get much sleep. came down before midnight and had a couple of hours,went back at about 3.30am just as hubby needed to get up for work. Had another hour andnended up down here at 4.20am. My head aches,throat as well and as for my joints i don't even want to go there. Thank god i made that appointment yesterday,i think i will nrrd it more than ever this morning.
