cold

I have never had a problem with being cold I never like it too hot bet it a bit much when in this hot weather I have been sat with a cardigan around my shoulder ,I am cold today it not like me .is this yet another problem with rd?

I have been suffering with this for the last three months, last week was the only time I have been ok and not had goosebumps. I don't know what is causing this but I've never felt like this prior to getting RA so I thing it may be connected.

its strange ,and there must be a few people suffering with this ,its get the winter woollies out next. what with the dead looking fingers and almost blue toes bring back my hot flushes please

Hiya June. I'm always cold except when having hot flushes. My feet & hands are my problem too & though don't go blue are mostly cold. In fact throughout this warm spell I've still been having to use my electric foot muff to get some feeling back & to ease the soreness. Has your GP seen them? It could be RD related or maybe a circulatory problem. Either way next time you're there I'd have him take a look at both.

Have your thyroid checked to see if your metabolism is wrong. Can easily be that as a cause. It is just a blood test and if you have to have one for something else ask for this to be added.

Yes I get this - been told by GP that along with burning sensation in my soles and palms and strange feeling as if my legs are wet this is secondary Raynaud's. I've even tried a treatment called Nifedipine but failed to tolerate this drug too. This was confirmed by a connective tissue specialist recently - however I also suffer from Hypothyroidism and am becoming increasingly of the view that my thyroid problems and RD are all interlinked where my circulation problems are concerned.
