just spoken to my consultants secretary she tells me it's because of the new pen and the protocol they have to follow

so that is the reason why i have to go every week to the hospital to have injections and blood monitored :-(

Ouch! Surely they can't do that for all of us, since we're all due to swap over in next months or so?

Sorry it looks like i've been given the wrong information from the consultant's secretary.

it has nothing to do with the new pen my rheumatologist nurse has just phoned me back. ....apparently they insist that this is what they do at blackpool NHS

when i tried to explain that nobody else has had to do this i don't really think she believes me

so it looks like i have to put up and shut up and have it done every week but if i move to preston nhs apparently i will start from the beginning again

so it looks like it's just blackpool :-(

Interesting scouser. If you have personal experience I'd be interested to know. If I don't see my named Rheumy on the 25th I was asking for referral to my original choice but would like some info of my options. I've heard of it but know it's not near Royal Preston, is it connected to the hospital, not literally, health wise I mean?

Could you maybe pm me if you have any details, thanks.
