Anyone on MTX ever had to have surgery for something nothing to do with the psoriatic. Is it ok or do you have to go off it.
Hi Sylvi, so glad you had such a good Christmas with your family. You sound much brighter now so I hope you are feeling a bit better after your being poorly before.
We have had a funny old Christmas this year, our only grandson went up north with his father (our daughter is divorced so they have him alternate years) so we really missed him.
All the family are gathering here Saturday as grandson back home now and we are really looking forward to that. I have been baking most of the day in readiness.
I have spent nearly 10 days fighting off a cold, and as usual my immune system will not allow the cold to come out, and as usual in the process a mega Flare of my RA, always the same. My elbows, hands and feet are burning up and terribly painful.
Hubby had to help me with the baking today because my hands so bad, we had great fun icing the cup cakes between us, he made a right mess, but they are all done and in the tin now. He got me a lovely bright blue kitchenaid mixer for Christmas (like on the bake-off), but my hands so bad could not twist the bowl on and off. I bake all the time, then I end up giving loads to my lovely neighbor, it's always been a hobby of mine.
He also got me a gorgeous long red coat, mid calf length in wool/cashmere. My legs get so cold when out on my scooter so should keep them nice and warm!!
Happy New Year to you and your family, take care, lynda xx
Lynda what a lovely post you have written in reply to me. I am sorry your grandson wasn't with you. I love the sound of all that baking wish i lived near you and i would have popped round for one of those cupcakes. You sound like it was fun with your hubby doing the baking,i can just imagine it now,you telling him what to do and him mucking up!!!!! That brought a smile to my face this early in the morning. Your coat sounds really warm and red to boot nobody will miss you when you go bombing out on your scooter.
Enjoy your day with your family today. Love Sylvia.xxxx
Glad you had a good Christmas and hopefully you will have a good New Year. My Christmas was'nt bad had help from my two sons with dinner, one helped with some prep, the other did most of the dishing up. We all enjoyed eating it so it was worth it.Now getting ready to do it all again for the New Year, when the boys come for dinner again. I always invite them for these two meals, and then its when ever they come in when i'm cooking. They know they are always welcome as they are on their own.
So heres hoping we are all as pain free as poss, sending you all hugs to help.
