Tomorrow I go back to the hospital for my third infusion of abatacept. After that I only have to go over every month. I am in such good form since I started this drug. Today I even signed up to be a volunteer to help out with functions in the city for the City of Culture 2013. I can stand up straight and open my hands, driving is a lot easier and what's really great is that I have a lot more energy.
Now I've been here before with biologicals.....felt great and then bam, everything went belly up!!!! But I have a good feeling about this one and you know what they say about positive thinking being hugely important. Just wanted to let people know that there are drugs available that can really change your life......I'm keeping my fingers crossed (I can almost do that today) that this continues and I can start to get my life back again after over two years.

Wonderful news Jeanabelle .....so hope this improvement keeps up for you. My plan is to do a long distance walk next year, in aid of RA, then I know I will be in remission. You do know about pacing etcetera etc so I am delighted for you that you are feeling so good to be able to volunteer....amazing feeling isn't
Thanks so much for your best wishes.....I can't believe how well I feel. It's just that when you read some of the posts on here and you see how much pain and suffering that we endure with this disease I think it's give a bit of encouragement to other to let them know that things can get better and not to give up.....like I felt like doing many times!
Of course I know I'm not out of the woods entirely just yet......I have a few weeks to go yet for that and I am indeed taking it easy. Doing mostly things about the house that I have let go for a few months. There isn't much chance of me running any marathons as the heavens have opened here and the rain has been coming down like stair rods!!
Thanks again for the positive responses. XX
Hey that really is great news Jeanabelle! - sieze the day and worry about tomorrow when it comes I say. Tilda x
