Some time last week I had had trouble swallowing my fluoxetine and felt it got stuck. I rang the out of hours doctor and he told me to take some rennies or gaviscon and keep eating and drinking, because it sounded like the tablet got stuck and then dissolved in my gullet. So any way, I was going to ring my nurse the next day, but didn't, but because it didn't go away I ended up at the docs yesterday, because I still feel like there is something stuck there, .
She seems to think I may have a little ulcer there where the tablet dissolved and the contents will have irritated the lining and caused an ulcer like you get in your mouth.
I have also been suffering with acid reflux at night. She told me to stop eating so late (it's usually 8p.m or even later some times) and take rennies or gaviscon at night. Some nights I have my tea in bed! So I thought I would let you know in case anyone else has anything like it.
The good news is that the extra Mx is helping, although i didn't expect it to make so much difference so quickly. Or it could be the warmer weather, but I definitely don't ache so much and the swelling in my knuckles has definitely got better. But I am having an unhappy ill day today. For some reason, this afternoon I feel like poo....tired. I think I spent too long on the computer yesterday.. I feel brain dead. (Nothing new!)
We have a water leak in one of the fields and I am waiting for the water board to come because we can't turn the water off, their stop tap isn't working properly. I got a chicken on the lawn, because he hitched a ride home on the wagon when we left the chicken field this morning (under the wheel arch of all places). When we got back we heard this buuuuuuck buck buck buck turned round and there she was jumping off the wheel! Crazy chick.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible........... x

Oh dear Julie hope the throat repairs quickly. It is so easy to do this without realising and by the time you do the wretched pill has dissolved and you're left to battle the consequences, I have done the very same thing with 500mg Naproxen tablets. The problem is they're too ruddy big to swallow whole and by the time you've glugged a gallon of water to shift the damned thing it's already burned your throat/gullet or wherever it chose to stick. I now snap the bloomin' things in two and swallow one bit at a time!
Good news on the MTX, glad to hear there's improvement.
Under the wheel arch? Crikey, it's lucky 'crazy chick' didn't become chicken casserole!
Take care Julie

Hi Julie' glad the extra MTX is working for you. Sorry to hear your throat is still giving you problems though.
I don't know if it's not one thing for us it's another!
Hope you feel better soon
mand xx
Julie, sorry to hear about your throat and I hope you get relive soon.
I have an Hieatus Hernia and I know about the trouble you are having a few tips for you:
I had a problem with indigestion and reflux and the doc has put me on one 30mg Lansoprazole which I take 30 mins before dinner. It works, no more acid, might be worth a try.
Hi Julie
Hope your throat and reflux get better soon. Good news that the increased Mtx is helping too.
Loving your crazy chick
Thanks for all your comments... Andy I tried to get the doctor to change the omeprazole because I felt it wasn't strong enough or take two a day, but she said it was too early for me to have anything stronger, so I have to just try the gaviscon and stuff. Thanks anyway it sounds much much better.
It is getting better slowly, just like everything else. just feeling so blooming miserable for some reason, got no interest in anything. Want a good kick up the botty methinks.
