Nicotine warning

Just want to put it out there that to get free, take control of your life and join the legions of people that call themselves non smokers, you have to reject all nicotine products. Patches, lozenges, quick mist, vapes containing nicotine oils etc. Nicotine is the most addictive substance in the world. It only takes 3 days to get rid of it from your body and 3 to 4 weeks to rid it from your brain.

You will have cravings, feel sort of strangely empty, can be confused with hunger. You may have sleep disturbance, feel weirdly fatigued and may have mouth disorders.

All of these wear off after a few weeks. Crafty cravings will still rear up to try to get you back to smoking, and you might think just one puff or one cigarette will be fine, I'm over it now...

DON'T DO IT! If you do,you'll be back smoking again. If you're determined to stop smoking also read Allen Carr easy way to stop smoking. It changes your mindset and makes you realise just how stupid smoking is.

Good luck to you, you can do it.

What you say is correct Whale1. For A lot of people the cravings and confusion and grief last a lot longer however the mindset is the key. You have to get your head in control. After 45 years of smoking I stopped just under 3 years ago now and even now at different times thoughts come to mind that it would be good to have a fag. Fortunately I can just move on with out doing it. Stay strong and you will win the fight.

Well done for being smoke free for 3 years and denying those sneaky cravings. It's amazing how much your brain plays tricks on you it just wants to go back to It's old ways. I am truly determined to kick smoking but recognise it's going to be a long battle. Good luck with yours
