Have a serious need for help! Can’t seem to get past day 1 but am determined I don’t want to use a nicotine replacement.

Any thoughts/ideas?

That’s exactly what I did! Still doing, deep breaths and just reconfirming to myself no, I do not want a cigarette, lots of water and orange juice 🥤 also going in to my body with lots of meditations with the insight timer App, this app is brilliant and has recovery sessions! Day 66 today! Cold turkey and I keep saying to myself I’ve got this! In this lifetime I am a non smoker xx

you could try champix, I have used it before and it worked, I am however having to start again as a particularly stressful time lead me to temptation and I succumbed. Cold turkey is incredibly hard, I'm currently re-quitting with patches and Kalms for when I get a big craving, I tried champix a second time and the side effects all hit me and I decided not to keep on with them this time. Patches are working 1 week in. Hate to tell you almost the opposite of what you want to hear, but assistance to crack the habit might be the answer.

The only idea I have is start a journal and write down each and every hour, WHY you chose to quit. Just keep reinforcing this in your mind on an hourly basis right from the time you get up to when you go to bed. It's a mental thing. But there's also physiological addiction and for that you might need an aid like Champix. You can do this!
