Almost 3 months clean - now a vacation

Hi Gang; I'm just 4 days shy of THREE months clean. Tomorrow I leave for Costa Rica for 3 weeks. Jungle and beach await. Vacations are a huge trigger for me so I will stay mindful ... I seem to associate utter relaxation with smoking. Will need to bust up that association. Thankfully my sister and bro-in-law quit smoking decades ago. I have almost a harder time eating on plan than I do with smoking. So it will be a lot of fun but also a pretty sober vacation lol. I might have the occasional beer and a bit of hard liquor but not too much because that would be a double whammy for triggers. Wish me luck!! I'll still be popping on here from time to time to see how all you lovely peeps are doing. Adios!

Hey Quit4Money - lucky you heading off on your holiers for 3 weeks of sun, sand and being smoke free!!!

Once you realize a potential trigger, you will work hard on it to fight through it. I remember my first holiday smoke free, it was surprisingly grand and so much relaxed as didn't have to worry about where I would smoke, smoking out hotel windows, where I would buy smokes, uncomfortably blowing smoke away from non smokers when sitting outside having drinks and something to eat.
