So as I stated in an earlier post I've had asthma all of my life but only started smoking after a divorce when I was 24. I started smoking and for one reason or another my asthma lessened, and I wasn't hospitalized since I was 23. Now at 30 to improve the quality of my life (still on inhalers) I quit smoking. I went 12 days and was ok with not smoking (I still smoke a joint here and there (legal here). My asthma not only returned but after a hospital trip and feeling with this was my new normal, I gave in and had a cigerette last night...twice.
This morning other than minor mucus in my throat my breathing is back to normal and I can get back to singing (my hobby). I got lightheaded and never enjoyed the smoke as much as I would have before the 2 weeks but within 24 hours I'm back to feeling better. Not great mind you because I quit to improve this but it took the smoke to come out of the week long asthma bout. I am not planning on smoking today but it seems to have become a working part of my asthma control . I am confused. Has anybody felt this way ??
