That's day 1 done 😁😁😁

Hasn't been too bad, the two danger times for me are when I wake up, and then again straight after work. Anyway I got through them ok 😁😁

Tomorrow I have a day off from work, lol I have a feeling my house is going to be very clean.....lol

Thank you all so much for your support, I really appreciate it so much 😁

All good 😊

Not too much longer now 🤗 My stop date is 2 October 2017.

It still feels quite odd being a none smoker now after so so many years of heavy smoking, but with time it is slowly starting to sink in.

I hope your day went well? I’m in Australia as well 🙂 NSW time zone

Yes, my day was great, thank you! How funny you are in NSW, so am I - small world or what?

And so wonderful that you’re almost at a year - I’m jealous! But in a good way 😁😁, looking forward to getting there myself!

Still good - morning of day three. Blahs haven’t hit yet though, but like I said, it’s the morning. No cravings so far today...so fingers crossed. It’s a work day for me so I’ll be nice and busy. Lol, I am finding it harder to wake in the morning though lol, I’m guessing I need the extra sleep to heal xx

Hi Hygiene100! I'm on day 6 of Champix.. no real change yet. I'm waiting for that moment when I finally think of smoking and think "yuck!". Another thing I hate about this mentally is we've booked a vacation at Christmas, and I'm thinking - how am I going to enjoy myself sipping on drinks without a CIGGY!? It's so sad that's what I think about. I can't wait to just get this awful habit out of my head!

I know what you mean! Those things were always my downfall in the past too. What I’ve found has helped me this time is looking at the craving a different way. Instead of ‘feeling deprived’ and ‘missing out’, I’m challenging those thoughts by asking myself ‘missing out on the foul taste and stink?’ ‘Depriving myself of being free?’ ‘Really?’ Seriously, like a true addict I organised my life around being able to smoke!! Now I no longer do that, and I actually feel freer than I ever have. Try it, you are bigger and stronger than the petulant demands from a little stick, I promise xx

And as well, imagine how awesome it will be to sit on a plane, NOT waiting for it to be over so you can smoke. You’ll be able to enjoy the cocktail flavour that much more too xx

Great suggestions.

What helped me was knowing that: A craving is not a command. I can let it pass and I don't have to give in to it

Keep fighting and ready to attack at all times Hygiene100 as you are in the thick of your body and mind rewiring, repairing and recovering. But, good news, as each day passes the stronger you become and the less severe and frequent the cravings will be.

Yes, you will have bad days, but the good days by far outweigh them. Keep in touch :)
