Coming out of work last night , i work at Heathrow so no smoking anywhere, only is designated areas outside ..
I smell it as soon as I get off the staff bus , stale ashtray smell in the air ... last night though coming out of work , was a group smoking I had to walk past ..omg ... nearly reached ...the smell is so horrible ...
But find it really really an offensive smell ,even seeing people vaping .... what has giving up done to me ...I’m turning into a right victor meldrew ....I am so anti lol , weather it’s because you’ve given up and trying to avoid it ..it’s
amazing how your nose detects it now , and all I think now is , that your breathing in someone else’s second hand smoke and the smell is rotten ..I hate it !

Ah Rjg45 - I hear ya about the smell, over 2 years stopped now, I still find the smell of smoke repulsive and can smell it a mile away too!!
I was out over the weekend sitting in the smoking area as was the only one not smoking along with my hubby in the group I was with - the smell was just horrendous and found myself a bit chesty the morning after from the second hand smoke....
Again last night walking out of work. People waiting for buses etc .. was a guy chuffing away ..firstly , wasn’t in a smoking area ...I had to say something lol ..
I said “ this isn’t a smoking area , and that stinks “ 😂
I think I’ll end up getting punched lol ...
You just don’t need reminding of something your trying to get away from ....
I think that’s the only time now that reminds me I was a smoker , is when I get a wiff of it .. it’s so disgusting....
Smoke stinks real bad and now that the weather turned cold here, the smell is multiplied! Since quitting, I've developed Spider-Man senses and a sniff out a cig from miles away!!

And I too have developed Spider-woman sniffing senses USNx
Yes it seems you can smell it from miles away , even vape smoke 💨..
As said , I also think , as you do your best to avoid it through giving up , that’s the last thing you need ... A horrible smelling stench reminder ...

The horrible smell and stink of smoke and smokers has saved me on numerous occasions on my journey when I was out and got a craving for 'just one', once I got the stink, craving gone!
