This is my 2nd time with Champix, first made me so sick. This time I don't take it without food!

So far so good. I'm on day 12 of Champix. Im still smoking thošŸ˜£. I was a pack & 1/2 a day. Now 1-2 cig a day. I have a puff & but it out. I'm having it when I'm really agitated. I get really irritable FAST! this is been happening for probably the past for 4-5 days. This is so not me at all!

The reason I came upon this post is because I Google'd does Champix make me tired.?

Yes it makes me tired!!! I have to nap 2-3 times a day. I'm exhausted. I'm sleeping though alarms & having busy crazy dreams!

I guess everything is gonna have side effects. These effects are better than smoking tho!

I would say you are getting irritated because you are not getting your fix for smoking. Smoke your cigarettes and donā€™t rush it. Make a quit date instead of being on a deadline. I smoked for over a month until I was really ready to stop. Since this is your second time on Chantix you know part of the side effects. Being tired is also a withdraw symptom. Get rest when you can. It will ease up. Writing down your day in a journal might help too

Hi foxxxy 33 Congratulation thatā€™s the best desition ever !

I liked Chantix itā€™s almost 1 year and I will never smoke again .

Chantix itā€™s been wrongly criticized because most of side effect are the same as cold turkey or any other way of quitting .

The diarrhea itā€™s a side effect for just some people mostly when taking it without food , just like you mentioned .

others like me never had a bad side effect .Remembering most of the dreams itā€™s also another real side effect but I actually loved it ..lol

Will power is also important when quitting with chantix itā€™s not really a magic pill .so distracting your mind quickly helps tremendously.Drink water any time you feel tense .

Yoga or Breathing exercises are absolutely helpful .I used to mimic smoking by just breathing deep .

Avoid any triggers the first couple of months .Thats it ..Keep it up šŸ‘

HI Foxxxy... It is like blaming it on the bunny...Champix gets in most circumstances blamed for 99% of normal quitting symptoms..

Just Google what happens if I quit smoking and you will find it is not all to be blamed on Champix...It is nasty Yes, some dreams and Nausea...But it really helps...!

Stay strong..

Welcome to our community Foxxxy33 - have you started your journey or set a stop date alongside the champix - the vivid dreams are a very common side effect from the pills and possibly causing tiredness too as you are/were still smoking - the side effects are very similar to withdrawal - see pinned posts below worth a read if not already done so:

Rosin, thank you for your support. I'm still going through the exhaustion. Worse than before. But wow the dreams are so crazy. I figure I can get caught up with all the housework eventually!!

I'm just NOT letting the stress of daily life be an excuse to smoke again.

How you doing with Chantix and how is everything foxxxy33
