Hello Ihankins58 ,

It doesn't matter how much you have smoked in the past; as soon as you stop your risk of getting certain diseases starts to decrease and keeps on decreasing as long you stay off the cigarettes. Never think that it's too late or let anybody convince you of that. You look young enough to end up with the same risks as somebody who has never smoked.

Get a phone app and it will show you how your health is getting better. Go for it! People here will help you out. We've all been through it and know what it's like.

I’ve smoked for over 25 yrs ..

It’s never to late ... I’m scared of developing copd ..

my doctor said , you as with others will eventually get a form of this either as a result of smoking or just old age !!!

He said my lungs are fine at the moment and to stop worrying about my life and to get on with it ....

Was good advice ..

I need to lose some Lbs that I’ve pilled on since quitting and get fit ...

I am sure though , smoking suppresses or masks many things , aches and pains etc that have suddenly appeared along with teeth probs ...

but also think , you going i to a different state of mind when you quit if your not careful with your plan and get to relaxed ... getting to relaxed = less exercise ....

That’s all in my opinion btw ...

Keep strong and positive though , as the first stage is the hardest. Once that’s passed , days turn to weeks , weeks turn to months 👍
