Last time I posted was 4 months ago - I am now just over a year smoke free which I sometimes struggle to believe after a 30 year habit

378 days smoke free

£3969 not spent on cigarettes

11341 cigarettes I have not smoked

I still miss the odd cigarette - I don't miss the smell or paying out so much money on them.

Would I ever smoke again?? No absolutely not

Happy Monday Happy smoke free Happy and healthy

Wise words Runmeg....I belief we will always miss that old ciggie but the moment you smell a smoker you can not belief that we smelled like that and then I am so glad I stopped...!

Congrats on your over a year quit !!

It's the smell or should I say that stale smell of cigarettes - hubby still smokes ( outside rain or shine ) and if I am stood next to him it doesn't bother me however if he appears next to me after having a cigarette he smells bloody awful, I describe it as going to my mums uncles house when I was a small child and there was a stale smell that lingered - very 1970's is the only way I can describe the smell.

Thanks - I go back to what I have said before - this site in the early days motivated me, I would come home from work and log on to keep my focus going; everyone is amazed at what I have done, I loved my cigarettes and could not imagine life without them - however after a year I know that just one cigarette would drag me back to 30 a day and I never want to go back to been controlled like I was by a cigarette

For everyone who is finding it tough, cry, scream, shout, it will ease over time and the payback is massive
