Oh dear, hope you're managing OK Fordy. Try to avoid any situations that are triggers. Get through it and the chances are you will be fine tomorrow. It's not tonight you're going out for a drink is it?

Sorry have to go, replying while in the middle of a very boring meeting!

Good luck!

Hey FordyP , hope you are ok and the breathing worked.  Lots of cold water too will help.  You can get through this and have got through alot worse...wishing you strength...

So my craving was compounded by the fact that I had to go out to a lunch with clients. Then as we were leaving the restaurant one of the clients lit a cigarette. As he took it out to light I looked at him and thought about asking him for one - but then he lit it and the smell immediately made me feel ill - craving over. Just tonight to get through now

Well done Fordy!

We're having a good few visitors with hubby recovering and the glorious weather we are having, was sitting outside yesterday evening and 2 of the visitors lit up, for about 60 seconds I could not keep my eyes of the cigarette, then got the revolting smell and was fine then.  I know its easy for me to say now but looking at someone smoking seems so pointless to do to yourself, inhaling a stick of paper that turns to ash?

I think we're getting well on our road to freedom!

Good for you Fordy.  I look at people smoking sometimes with envy till I smell it, yuk disgusting.  Keep that smell in mind we don't want to smell like that again. Your doing great. We are slowly winning

Hello have only just read this.   Quitting  does indeed throw many large curve balls at us, mainly when we least expect, that's the addiction of nicotine, but I can tell you those curve balls, do indeed,  become less and less the longer our quits stay on intact. Until it's just a little ping pong ball, you won't even notice, it will go straight by.

Doing so very very well,  every crave you have is one less to deal with.

Great advice from all.

Oh I forgot to say, blooming fantastic, hold tight a new day tomorrow, doing great

Thanks Tracey - I now picture myself going through the evening like a Ninja batting away curved ball craves like so many ping pong balls. Brilliant. I genuinely do not think that I would have got this far without the support of you guys

Tracey, you are also doing fantastic and appear to be in a great place at the moment which is so remarkable with all you have going on.   You really are an inspiration and I have nothing only admiration for you.

I think you should take out your little black book and read that Tracey is doing so well and should be very proud of herself...
