Best of luck quitting everybody. I am sure they will get around to banning everyone again sooner or later so just wanted to relay hellos and best wishes before that happens.

Hopefully will be alot more lively than the old forum became, been hard to watch.

Cheers

Hi Teflon,

Got to ask...why were so many people banned from the old forum? When I joined in October I browsed the members list and well over half of them seemed to be banned! It's like a family secret that nobody is allowed to mention...I'm intrigued!

There were an assortment of reasons, I was banned for posting a comment from a friend on my account.

From my perspective some of the users didnt like that some others were trying to have a bit of fun, tell a few gags, pass the time.

It ended up with people lambasting the moderators to ban somebody who liked to tell a few jokes, for what I could see as being that he never discussed quitting. All quite unsavoury and below many of those who were acting quite poorly in my opinion.

I am sure there will be many other reasons from many other people, but it basically killed NSD overnight, I have been keeping an eye on it hoping it would recover but alas I dont think it will, especially if the drive is to move here, which looks a great resource but loses something some like in a forum environment.

Anyway those that moaned got what they wanted and alot of people who supported that user were banned. They have set up a new forum justquit.co.uk if you want to join you would be more than welcome.

Beware though there are occasion, poor jokes and maybe a game or two.

Looks like I missed all of the excitement! Cheers Teflon, I'll have a look at the justquit site.

TBH not really exciting, was tiresome and sad. Anyway this new thing I must say is going to take a little getting used to.

I guess we all get stuck in how somewhere we are comfortable works, I am sure that all the relevant buttons will be found in due course :D

Good luck with your own journey

Best of luck everyone. I quit years ago and got COPD, which is now very well managed, having escaped emphysema by a whisker :) If anyone out there is struggling and needs some cheering up, just ask :) Not sure how private message works on this forum. Still learning!
