Ah well done Canwes, 8 months - WOW! Not long now to go to the penthouse door swinging open for both yourself & Hercu, congratulations!

Just to ad a HUGE pat on the back from me, blooming fantastic, those twinkling lights are in view now, of the penthouse.

Thanks everyone. I will say this, month 7 was easier than month 6, and 6 was easier than 5 so I'm really hoping this pattern continues. The part I find puzzling is just how often I still feel the desire for a cigarette. Frankly, it's unsettling. I also must admit that this just makes me want to never go back to smoking again, it's just such a damned nuisance. The fight continues and I feel I'm winning, still, day by day.

I'm with you there Canwes -I was this to my other half just yesterday. Even though I'm very happy not smoking, there are still times when I would push old ladies over to get to a smoke. But I just use that to strengthen my resolve :) We'll keep it up, shall we?

I'm like that too, I admit it's much easier now but I still think abt smoking... Unsettling is a good word.

I don't feel I must smoke... But the thought is still there.

I have a long way to go before I catch up with you guys, so....very well done!

I hear ya Canwes, I am just over 4 months and still think about having that one smoke, but as time passes they are less and less and no longer bother me, but would love not to have them... I find if I see people smoking on TV programmes and not being able to get the stink of them I do think I would love just one!

They say that this can continue for up to 2 years but less and less and passes without even thinking about it....we are all doing great and you say winning!

PS mmaya - we are only 8 weeks to our 6 month milestone which is no time away, it falls on the 17 March for me - Paddys Day!

in reply to Canwes

Paddy's day was my relapse day last year! Then again, it wasn't related to paddy's day at all.

Yes Rowens, @petz will be 6 months on the 14th, I'm the 15th and you 17th :) September 2015 was a good month lol

Both me and petz would be celebrating 1 year next week if we kept going last year.

We'll get there, let's Stay together.

I'm mentioning Pete because although he doesn't post, I know he checks in regularly :)
