Staying quit is not as easy as I thought it would be
Anyway.. picked myself up and back in the game... the no-smoking game that is.
Day 3. Quite chuffed for getting this far again, after enduring intense cravings all weekend. I am hoping the week ahead will start to become more pleasant and nice.

Well done on getting to day 3, and your right. The week ahead should be easier. The first 3 days for the majority of people is the worst as you still have nicotine in your system.
It seems that you originally signed up last November so I take it this is not your first attempt. What will be different about this quit for you?

I am actually quite amazed at my capacity to be stupid Anyway... I have also decided to throw away my iPhone while I quit. Strangely enough... this somehow helps. Basically I have stopped getting notifications from friends and calls etc. And although I always thought this would be insane (not to mention boring), I am finding the calmness very relaxing.
Somehow it is also helping with the no smoking... no distractions... no messages to ask me to met someone, or things that might otherwise make me feel a bit anxious. I also get to plan my whole day and just stick to my plan.
Anyway... i dont know if the two are linked. Quitting and being less reachable, but I feel a bit of a difference.
In the back of my mind I feel like I am on vacation (usually the only time I have little or no iPhone use).
Yes, it does help to slow things down I've found when quitting. It gives time to be aware of the demon sneaking up. This stopping smoking takes a lot of concentration and energy from time to time and definitely needs our attention.
Glad you clarified which game, ha ha! Made me chuckle day 3 is great, the day last day nicotine will hang around your system. Here's to a smoke free future x
You can do this Calvin! I did something similar - stopped using facebook and all the other things I usually filled my smoking time with - cold-turkey from candy crush at the same time as smoking made it easier somehow! I'm a big believer in changing the routine to help break habits. Good luck! x
Feeling in such a foul mood today. It is almost funny... i have decided to keep my super DJ sized Headphones on my ears and try to listen to melow relaxing music and shut out everyone around me.
Not the best day. Looking forward to getting through today... hopefully there is a much nicer day waiting for me tomorrow
Maybe tomorrow, or maybe the day after - but never doubt that better days ARE around the corner!
When I was struggling to find a lasting quit, there were a few times when I got to around a week and caved in as I felt it was all too difficult.
If you ever feel like that, remember what you've been through these last few days - not something you'll want to repeat, and not something you'll ever need to repeat so long as you remember the simple mantra - 'Not One Puff Ever'. Remember too that if you ever think a cigarette will cure your problems, this is just addiction talking - cigarettes made you feel like this in the first place!
Still ticking along. I have to confess, i do feel quite horrible though. Still with headaches and mild depression.
It is funny because I can clearly recognise this are symptoms of withdrawal.
I wonder if they will fade out soon. Guess I just need to hang in there.... Oh how I wish it wasn't hurting so much this time round!

Funny you say abt recognizing the symptoms, I've quit so many times that I'm feeling like an expert on the field LOL - before everybody starts attacking me now - no, I'm not proud of it! But it is still funny! I feel really stupid that I allow myself to be on that situation over & over!
The first week is pure rubbish, the 2nd is ok, 3rd is depressing, 4th & 5th fine, you feel like a big time winner, 6th going back to depression...7th, well, week 7 seems to be the big problem for most of the people in here and certainly for me. I have never managed past week 7, but that's my plan this time, lets make it happen together.
