3 years for me also.

I will always celebrate the 20th of March for it's this day i finally quit smoking. I feel great and alive. I went through every possible emotion one can because that's what nicotine does to you.. It's certainly a powerful drug which can really wreck havoc on your personality and relationship when you try to free yourself from it.

I was prepared though because i've had valuable experience already under my belt from previous quits.. I knew what the challenges lay ahead for me and my biggest fear was putting my lovely fiancee through hell again. Thankfully this quit went really well and that never really happened and here i am posting on this forum in celebration.

Another massive plus for me is that my weight is finally under control. The key to that was loads of walking.

I once said to myself that i would quit smoking by the time i hit 40 years of age. I did it at 39 and a half. I kept that promise to myself and fulfilled it.

All i can say is that i'm happy and smoke free, It could be you next celebrating!.

Take care Rogue

Well done Rogue!! I don't know if you remember me, because I'm not often around any more? Still, I try to pop in every once in a while to say hi to the old crowd and give some encouragement to the newcomers. Great to hear you're at the three-year mark!!

Thanks all. Of course i remember you Alex. You were around when i first joined and certainly one of the key members during my posting. How are you doing these days yourself?

Fantastic achievement Rogue, well done and best wishes for the future.x

Well done Rogue, 40 was my goal also. I think it's a milestone age where you really start to think about your health and fitness. Hoping I can stay smoke free for another 2 years 2 months to be where you are. :)

I appreciate people still visiting the forum who've gone a long way in their journey. Well done to you, and a great inspiration for us starting out.
