Over 7 months still going

Just a up date, am doing ok, holding tight to my quit, in parts have had to be a little selfish, but in a good cause me thinks.

On reflection all the support of so many people is what has held my quit, I lost count in the early days of just how much I needed these words of wisdom, and my word how powerful those words were.

So THANKYOU all, if your just starting on your journey, it can be done with some determination and this unique wonderful forum.

My husband CANNOT believe I,m still quit. He said only a couple of days ago that he never ever thought I,d quit, well pleased to say how wrong he was!!!!

What a lovely post Tracey! :D

I think that once you're over the 6 month hump it really does become easier and easier, and no one deserves an easy ride more than you. You've not just had your quit to deal with I know, and I do so admire your persistence and determination to make this the one. :)

Many, many congratulations from me. It must be fantastic to have proved your OH wrong too! ;)

Incidentally, are you still planning on a trip to New York? It would be a splendid way to celebrate.

I totally agree with you Tracey, if it weren't for all the support on here I'm pretty sure I'd have fallen, especially in the early days when I was looking for an excuse to smoke! However, that being said, you deserve a massive pat on the back - you are one of the awesome people who are always there whenever someone is contemplating the unthinkable, you also have a wonderful sense of humour and a massive array of tempting recipes to try out (and aren't they ten times better now our taste buds are back!) And I bet you feel so proud, especially when your hubby says he thought you'd never do it - you aresherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand...
