I haven't really posted much about my quit, anyways it's 6 months tomorrow and it's been ok I suppose up to now, Yeah been the usual craves here and there, but they do get less and less as time goes on.
anyway I came away on holiday last weekend and by god there has been a few times where I could of really fancied lighting up....a few beers and the brain is reminding me of what used to be. Normally on holiday I would be smoking like a
trooper (20-30) a day, and when your away every man and his dog seems to smoke. I won't smoke my quit means to much and I've come too far to throw it away now, but you have to keep your guard up as evil nico demon 24/7.
Marty, a huge welcome from me to Halfway House and what better way of celebrating your mighty and fantastic achievment than a slap-up holiday?
You won't smoke now, mate, but hey, even this far down the line, we're still going to catch the odd trigger situation and a holiday is bound to tick all the boxes on that. Even Max was a bit worried recently as to how he would feel on a beach holiday because of the old associations (he was fine of course, and so will you be :))
If all else fails, jump in the sea. You can't smoke and swim at the same time.
SIX WHOLE MONTHS!!! Just keep telling yourself how brilliant you are. Well done mate!!
