I have been on cloud nine with no side effects from the Champix except sleeping really well and being very happy lol..but now as i hit my three weeks quit and one month on the pills, im wondering. Yesterday and today ive been having light headedness (is that even a word) kind of like a Dizzy feeling but not quite, when it comes on, my eyes blur and my ears plug. Now i know my blood pressure tends to be on the high side, so i did check my blood pressure just to see, and it was low, way lower then it has been in years, and i wonder if this is because im not smoking or the pills...also been experiencing some body pain, especially in the lower back..and just been having this general feeling of YUCK..maybe im just coming down with something, i dont know. But i miss my GOOD feelings!! i don't want to smoke, and im not feeling.."Down" per say but just like somethings wrong.

Hi Jinx,
All of those symptoms you have described (apart from the blood pressure, not sure about that) sound like withdrawal symptoms to me, I have definitely had the light headedness and blocked ears, its all to do with circualtion getting back to normal and more oxygen reaching the brain as it should.
If you are at all concerned perhaps give NHS Direct a call for some advice, but try not to worry the aches pains etc are our bodys way of screaming out for a cigarette,Ive had them honestly, it will pass, but as Jenny and Deb said any concerns go and see your doctor, hope you feel better soon xx
jinx, champix is a powerful drug, it has some pretty moody side effects which include pretty much anyway you might feel, I suspect they could be hedging their bets a bit by just putting loads, but I have heard here that pretty much all of them have been experienced.
I would suggest that you pop to the docs, esp if you are feeling down, that was the one that my doctor said if I get to come straight down.
I felt rubbish so went to see them, turns out while I thought I was asleep for ages i wasnt really. I went onto just one of the half strength pills a day, the ones you take at the very beginning, had the most amazing nights sleep and happy me returned.
It may well not be that, as your happy reward from your brain is not coming anymore as you are not smoking, cheese worked for me
Thats really interesting where you said "I felt rubbish so went to see them, turns out while I thought I was asleep for ages i wasnt really" At the beginning i had sleeps like a freaking baby, felt amazing when i woke, I think i am still having those sleeps, as i fall asleep really quick and don't wake till my alarm in the morning, but the difference is, i know i was in bed for 7 hours, asleep..tho i dont feel like i slept..i just find it odd you phrase it that way, cause that's how i feel. I was considering going onto a half dose in the morning then evening so im only getting 1mg instead of 2mg, but ill wait and see....the sleep thing does make sence, that would explain why i feel crappy.
As someone has already mentioned champix is a very powerful drug so side effects are common place. I'm a train driver and it's on our totally banned list so I am just using an ecig for the first couple of weeks before I go ct.
All the best
Yes we get unannounced drug tested at anytime, they can even be waiting for you to swipe on at work before they pounce. Obviously test positive for banned substances would be instant dismissal !!!
That's just part of the job no risky pub crawls night before you start at 4.00am unless your stupid.
Does it make you trump Teflon ????
