Firstly, thank you for the lovely welcome and advice on my day 1 postings. Well it's day 2 for me now. I had to go to pharmacist last night to collect my 2nd prescription of Champix. They were disappointed that I took it right to the wire for my quit day. It says on the tin quit between day 8 and day 14, I chose day 13. To be fair they really p**sed me off, was a little bit patronising and said my carbon monoxide reading was 9 (it was 26 the first time) but they expected it to be lower. I explained I had only stopped the night before. I got my prescription but nearly went home and had a fag, I didn't though I had 2 puffs of my vape (with nicotine in). That was also my first vape, I hope to quit that too. Do you think it will be OK if I use my vape but just make sure I use nicotine free liquid?
Day 2 ......: Firstly, thank you for the... - No Smoking Day
Day 2 ......

Morning,
Well done on getting through the first day.
Professionals can be brilliant or pretty rubbish can't they. I quit and after 2 weeks decided I would join a support group run by the NHS. Everything I was reading suggested that you have more chance with help/support so after a bit of a struggle getting the info I turned up to my first meeting. It turned out to be a meeting for smokers under 18 so I wasn't allowed to attend. Getting free time out of the house is difficult for me and very precious.
I was ready to smoke right there and then. I was so very angry but I didn't. Luckily I discovered this site where you get all the support you need and nobody is patronising.
Can't help you with your question, after all that but i'm sure there'll be somenone along soon who knows about vaping
Doing great
Hya, am only very slightly in front of you after a failed quit of a month, but I do agree this form probably has more info, than any where else. So many quitters, with story's to inspire
So for me sticking to it like glue, I do believe it to be the difference between success and failure.
Well done great to get day one done and gone for ever, on your way my lovely
Yes that makes sense to not use NRT on Champix. I would like to order the nicotine free vape liquid but worry that will just continue the habit of pretend smoking which could lead to real smoking again.
I'm with Deb on this one in that I don't think you should be having nicotine at all once you've passed your quit date. With regards to vaping, I wouldn't because I'd probably find it difficult to stop but that's just me...only you know you
PS Well done, you're doing just fine
