this is the start of another attempt got to make it happen this time. Any advice would be very welcome.

Read, read, post and read is my best advice. There's probably nothing about quitting that isn't covered somewhere in the forum.

With the support of all the lovely people here you can't not succeed. :D

Welcome Stoph! Are you using anything to help? Cold turkey CAN be done if you're going that way, post on here lots and lots and lots, it's the best aid you'll get, or it has been for me.....:)

I recommend distraction, arm yourself with whatever you can to take your mind off it - jumping jacks and fast running on the spot for 30 seconds is brill, not only are you distracted it takes your breath away so you just don't want to smoke ;)

I have tryed several aids over the years, trying cold turkey at the moment.
