Today you'll feel fab 'cos unlike idiots like me *you* aren't outside in the cold inhaling stinky stuff (and this time next week nor will I YAY) know it's a bit of an up and down thing *but* it's your brain repairing itself from the nasty smoke
It certainly is a roller-coaster of a ride. If it's any comfort, I felt desperately awful on days 3 & 4 both physically and mentally but that was a bad as it ever got. You're doing SO well- it'll be a week before you know it and then the sky's the limit.
It was an emotional roller coaster for me too. I'd be manically "up" one day and crying for no reason the next. I does get better, as I recall it just went away suddenly and I felt fantastic then.
That's the thing with quitting, every difficult thing you have to go through, and it is different for everyone, pays dividends afterwards. For example, if you get totally stressed out and grumpy when you quit you eventually end up being a lot calmer person than you were before you quit. If you go through not being able to sleep then you end being able to sleep way better in the end, if that makes sense?
Yes makes sense to me, the sleeping is awful I think I have a virus at the moment so thats making it worse. All stuffed up and waking up with a mouth as dry as you can get:confused: not nice.

Last time I quit, the chesty mucus cough stuff (Covonia) helped me 'cos it thins the ick down. That reminds me, better stock up
Getting infections after you quit is pretty common, but it does clear fast
Ooh and make sure you drink plenty of water, it's easy to not drink enough when you quit!!
It flushes out the toxins *and* it makes you feel better - ooh and glugging water helps with craves too, bonus!!
