sorry I haven't been on here lately, I have been so busy with work! I like to come on here to support you all.
Well, 3 months now done for me! moving into room 4/5 months feels good! I stopped smoking with 3 friends and I am the only one left, I have absolute no intention of smoking ever again-EVER, not a drag, a puff, NRT ever, I'm done with that nonsence, and that has been my attitude from the first day I stopped smoking.
And this is the difference between myself and my friends who decided to stop (and sadly failed) I had won the 'head battle' they had not. The craves, the habit, the need....is a small battle but its' the battle of the mind that has to be won, and that starts the day BEFORE your quit.....Once you have made your mind up that you are a non-smoker, and feel happy and comfortable as a non-smoker I believe, the battle has already been won.
Don't get me wrong, I still 'think' about smoking, but my thoughts are more inclined towards...'what the hell was I doing!'
I think you are all wonderful, fighting this idiot drug...a drug with no highs, a drug that is expensive and a drug that only guarentees ill health, isolation and misery...onwards and upwards-it truely is great to be a non-smoker xxx

Congratulations Sweet and welcome to the 4/5 room. Being a non-smoker is fantastic isn't it? Attaining the freedom from those dirty yellow chains is the only "High" I ever got from my habit. It's lovely to hear from you again

Great post SweetB, showing the grit and determination it sometimes takes to plough through the minefield of the early months post quit. I'm really pleased for you, great stuff!
Good to have you here. There aren't too many of us in this room at the moment, and I will also be out of here next month. Onward and upward to 6+ months!
