Day Two almost done

Woohoo! Day two almost done! Feel pretty horrible, foggy, but, almost no craves. Less restless today as compared to yesterday, but, time just does not pass today.

Before my quit date, I was down to pretty much a cigarette a day for a couple of days and that was pretty nasty but this is worse.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Massive congratulations on deciding to quit. The fogginess will get easier as your system adjusts to the tablets. Keep posting, there are loads of really wise people on here who will support and advise you every step of the way. Embrace your quit, learn from the crappy bits and embrace the good bits, most of all - good luck :D

Keep going!!

Im on my 4th quit attempt (of my life!) And I used to have a foggy head too! Used to last a couple of days, but it passes so hang in there. The first few days may feel a bit odd, but believe me you will get to the point really soon when you think "oh....this is quite nice this non smoking lark"!

Read through old posts on here too where others are at the same stage as you are.....I found that helped alot before I registered to the site

Thanks, all.

Yup, I've been reading a lot of the old posts and they are very helpful, magicmom.

jenninegs and Max, for a while yesterday, I was wondering if I was fuzzy because of the Champix, making excuses!

We've all reacted differently to the tablets, I was definitely a bit fuzzy and found it really hard to concentrate at first but it did settle down after a couple of weeks, I'm not 100% convinced it's the Champix that does it or actual nicotine deprivation as NRT users and CT'ers have also mentioned feeling foggy.

Hmm. I noticed the fog after 10 days of Champix but that also coincided with me not smoking much at all so no idea. And, you're right, it seems that fogginess runs across several methods of quitting. Ah well, grin and bear it, I guess.

Fog

Mal, never used Champix, but I can tell you I had big time fogginess going CT. Even though they say the nicotine is out of our system by the third day, the fogginess lasts a week to 10 days with me. I guess the moral of the story is that it's normal, no matter which method you choose. I embraced it, as it was a blatant sign that my body was beginning to adjust to a healthier lifestyle.:)
