yesterday on a whim decided that enough was enough lasted 1 day! Day 2 up for an hour and found myself at the shop counter. Maybe wasn't prepared well enough? On a more positive note I have only had 2 rather than half the pack so guess it could be worse.
Epic fail: :o yesterday on a whim decided... - No Smoking Day
Epic fail
Oh well, try again..... I broke it big style at weekend!!
Thanks I intend to try and try and try until I get it! It's just so hard to take as I thought I could do better oh we'll onwards and upwards.
You only had 2 though, I failed with whole packet!!
Yeah I was doing ok with the 2 but that was hours ago and now I'm up to 4!!!:( In a way I'm starting to think if I can just smoke all the pack I can start again. Although I'm sure the fact I bought 20 rather than 10 speaks volumes!
Easy to say but rip them up and throw them away then you can't be tempted x
You just keep trying
if you keep trying you will get there, this forum is inspirational, keep reading and you will realise you can do this,
Thanks for the encouragement guys! Only just found this site yesterday and think by simply knowing there are others going (or gone) through it will really help!
I REALLY want to beat this thing, i really do but maybe I have been being hard on myself doing it all cold turkey or die! Maybe i need a month or two on patches to adjust myself into a non smoking life. I know many of those on here have used all sorts of methods, and none are right or wrong, just right for the individual.

Hi mikal and welcome
Whichever method you use, everyone here agrees that posting and reading on the forum helps, so hoorah! And most of us have had many, many failed attempts, so you're not alone there. I 'gave up smoking' almost every time I finished a pouch for about three years. I spent most of that time angry with myself, disappointed, wondering why I couldn't manage without fags. But now I'm six weeks into my real quit - this IS possible!
Have you done plenty of reading? I'm in a rush just now, but there's so much on here, and on the internet, that you can read for motivation and encouragement...
But you can do this, and there's lots of support here if you like! Good luck!
Mikal, so great to have you on board, splendid decision to quit. It may be said that a little preparation does help in making our quits last. I used the patch method, and have to say that without them I may have failed , the forum is a great place to be, ad we have all had day ones, nothing special about us, we just decided to quit.
Indeed nothing wrong with using patch, gum, champix, it's whatever suits you, and as your here for the long haul, it really does not matter how you decide to quit, just the fact you do is great.
Nicotine takes 3 days to get out your system, if you go ct.
Make your choice, read and post often, it truly is a life saver, we have a little rule, if your struggling, post and wait for 3 replys, then and only then decide if you want to smoke again.
Great your here so look forward to future posts.
Everything to gain,
Some can quit cold turkey others need a little help. It's better to use NRT for a while than stay smoking. best thing you did was join this forum.
