Who would believe it, 50 days smoke and nicotine free, and as I cycled home tonight looking across the great southern ocean it suddenly dawned on me that I had gone all day at work and fags hadn't crossed my mind once - whoo hoo!!!!!

Getting there, one fag at a time.

That's wonderful! It's as if you've "moved" from the smoking world into the non-smoking world. I hope I can say that, as I am only on Day 39 (I had to get the calendar!) and a little bit behind you, Steve. But, something has definitely happened for me......I know I will never have another fag. Is that how it feels for you, Steve?

Honestly I'm not sure I feel able to say I'll never smoke another fag again, I said that pretty early on during my 2011-2012 quit, but hey after mire than a year I did....like a fool.

It's been such hard work to quit again since restarting I think I'm much more realistic now and I realise that I will always be just one smoke away from being a smoker again and so I think I'll just always live making the choice not to smoke today, every day.

Know the feeling, was a total non-smoker in my last quit - got through the "oh I really want one" feeling to hating it to indifference.

Then suddenly, I got cravey and then had a spark that got me to spark up.

Am not saying I won't smoke ever again because I haven't a clue.

All any of us can do is say "not today"!!
