Funtimefranky's reached day 3!

Yay, I've reached day 3! Not a walk in the park but I feel much better about things today. Still no feelings of euphoria, would not say I feel completely free yet. This forum really has been a God send to me. Advice to any lurkers is to get on here and post. I have posted even when I did not feel up to it and it has really made a difference. I've started a diet today to avoid gaining weight....yes I'm a masochist.:D Actually, it's not that restrictive....it's the South Beach Diet so lots of unlimited healthy foods. For breakfast (late one today) I'm having nitrate free bacon (all fat removed) two organic poached eggs, mushrooms and lots of grilled toms both red and green.:p

  • Well done Franky ...you are over the worst now...the cravings should get less...good look on your diet could do with loosing some weight myself lol...your breakfast sounds yummy...xxx

  • Good Morning FTF, the euphoria will slowly creep in, you will have a lightbulb moment and suddenly the positives will far outshine the negatives, keep at it, softly softly catchy monkey ;)

  • Good grief! Well that all sounds fantastic, just don't take on so many projects that you don't get to achieve any of your goals - there's nothing wrong with fighting one battle at a time provided you get to win it!

And massive congratulations on arriving at Day 3, those first three are MAJOR so be very, very proud of yourself!:D:D:D

I won't Kat, promise! Thank you

Thanks Jenninegs, I still can't believe I'm here really.:confused:I'm actually doing it!:D

  • Oh Franky now you have made me think of a fried brekkie too :D mmmm do have bacon and eggs in the fridge and......;)

You are doing great-one day at a time-don't let craves develop in your head, distract yourself-and if eating helps then eat eat EAT!!!!!!

Hehe, now don't tempt me Max....toast is not on the acceptable foods list! I know what you mean, anything over a cig but I can not give myself an eat free badge, I just can't because I probably would eat everything and anything and I know the excess weight will depress me and is quite likely to get me back to smoking. Messed up thinking but that's just the way my brain works unfortunately.

  • My chest has been hurting a fair bit today. Also have to constantly clear my throat, sneezing and have a blocked nose so maybe a cold. Maybe withdrawal?

  • Bless you, it could be one or the other as we all "clear out" in different ways. I'd snuggle on the sofa with a glass of wine, chocs and a movie with your favourite actor - sending healing hugs

  • Hey Jenninegs, I actually had a glass of Cava and then thought 'wait a minute, if you're not well, why are you feeding yourself alcohol?' Anyway, I enjoyed it. I did have some cravings but I can't hide from everything I associate with smoking forever. I just stuck my head out of the window and made out like I was smoking a cig and do you know what....it actually worked, lol. I'll probably have another glass before the night is out, it is Friday after all. Day 4 tomorrow, yay! I never ever want to touch that rubbish again.
