Having a real tough time, perhaps I have left this too late!

I have been carrying this monster for 50 years, and it is putting up a really hard fight, am I just too old?

Trying tomorrow busy and keep my cool.

Aww I'm sorry you're having a rough time!!

You're definitely not too old to fight Nic, and you will beat him!!

Hang in there, and the more you face him down the weaker he gets :)

Hello Lizzy

Do not for one minute that you are too old to stop smoking. Sorry for my ignorance but I don't know how you are approaching this? Cold turkey, NRT? perhaps if you are going cold CT (much to be admired) then perhaps a visitor to the doctor might be an idea?

Just keep I touch with this forum and you will be helped along the way :) x

Don't know how old you are but I am 70 now and I am happy to be a none smoker now. You can do it, we are never too old to quit this smelly, harmful habit

I am 66 have smoked since I Was 16, along with everyone else at that time,

I stopped smoking cigarettes 15 years ago and went onto small cigars. I live in Portugal where smoking is much cheaper than UK.

I have read Allen Carr's book and have downloaded a hipnótic tape which helps

a bit.

I played golf with a smoker yesterday and went for dinner with smokers, and I got through it.

It does not seem so bad today (no7) , but I must resist diving onto the larder every five minutes!

Hi Lizzie B

I quit 30 days ago - a week before my 60th birthday after smoking since age 16. So far - so good. I think because I really want it this time its easier than it has been before - but I don`t think age comes into it. If you want it you`ll succeed. Keep going - I`m stunned to have got this far.
