5 Years! Team 10?

Hi all - it has been a long time since I posted and I am not sure where the rest of my team are but I am happy to report that I am still smoke free 5 years on :D . My overall advice really is never to take another puff. I do not think nor have an urge to light up and it has been that way for the last few years. I thought I would post my update to give newcomers a positive insight into the forum's role into my quit. For those about to quit or in the early stages, remember that a lot of your doubt is based on fear, trust me, you should not be scared! Understand your addiction and the rest will unravel in time.

Hi :) I think I saved over £10K (based on 2008 prices!) but the number that impresses me the most is the number of cigarettes I have not smoked: 37K!

A MASSIVE well done :D

I still look in now and again as this place played a huge role in my quit.

Im sure the rest of the team are breathing easy as well.

Take Care

Team 10 for 5 yrs

Hi Catmagpie

Team 10 reporting in , like you i havnt smoked for 5 yrs also , its not easy but with the help and support you can give each other on here is something else so use the forum i did and it was a life saver more than once in those early days .

I can honestly say its the best thing i ever did and the smell of a nico stick is repulsive i wish you all the very best in giving up that wicked nico , and dont forget use the forum to help you stay on the right track ;)

Congratulations on your 5 year quit, and thank you for keeping in touch on this forum and giving advice.

What I would like to know is how do I understand my addiction?

Thanks

Hi Catmagpie,

Fantastic, five years -that's inspirational, and speaking of which I hope you answer the question janeissane has posed. It may help those of us looking at the backsides of those further up the mountain than us, and thinking if they can do it so can I.

In any case...nice going!
