Team 10 - 2008 - it's been 6 years

:D

My calendar alerted me to the anniversary and I thought I'd log in again. Not sure if my Team 10 members are still around but it has been 6 years!

I don't really feel like an ex smoker, I just feel like a non smoker. The idea that I smoked feels very alien. In the early days I struggled to think that it would be possible to ever feel this way. But I do and have done for some time.

Happy anniversary :)

Wow, I'm so looking forward to posting 6 years quit! It is such an inspiration to all of us when someone who has been quit so long posts. It gives hope to anyone struggling.

Thanks for logging in :)

Thank you for the congratulations. I don't feel I deserve them anymore as I don't really see myself as a quitter, which feels a bit strange. But I know it is important that newcomers and those in the early stages know that it is possible. That you start counting minutes, hours, days and before you know it you almost forgot you used to smoke in the first place.

So hang in there :) Remember that you are not depriving yourself, understand and deal with the physical addiction and then address your emotional dependency to smoking. It is not easy at times but only you can make it possible.

Hi Catmagpie

Team 10 were my inspiration when I started this journey, as you were ahead of me but still quite active on the forum.

I do still wonder how the people who helped me along the way are doing, not just Team 10, and I know what you mean about not feeling like a quitter any more. For me too smoking is just something that I used to do.

Great to see you stop by,

All the best

Nic
